What is MELAB?
Missouri Environmental Literacy Advisory Board
The Missouri Environmental Literacy Advisory Board (MELAB) is an organization of organizations, with the goal of helping schools, agencies, non-profits and businesses find where they fit into Environmental Education in Missouri, network with other organzations who share similar goals, develop ways to assess if and how they are making a difference, and provide a way for them to help guide environmental education in Missouri.
If you belong to a school, agency, non-profit, business or other organization whose mission includes an interest in what Missorians know and understand about their environment, then consider these questions:
Would you like to know how your efforts fit into state and national environmental literacy initiatives?
Would you like to network with other organizations to avoid duplication, fill gaps and use your people and resources more effectively?
Would you like to know whether you are making a difference, whether you are working with pre-schoolers, school-age or adult audiences?
Would you like to help guide the future of environmental education in Missouri?
