Summer Strategies for the School Garden

April 29 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

For school gardeners, the summer can pose a new set of challenges that didn’t exist during the spring growing season. This class will cover strategies to maintain a successful school garden over summer, whether you plan to grow crops or leave the garden alone until school starts up again. Learn how to leverage community for maintenance support, improve soil health using cover crops, and effectively “put beds to sleep” for summer. This class will also provide additional tips such as low-maintenance crops to grow and unique ideas for supporting volunteers in the garden over summer.

All attendees will leave the class with seed packets, tangible support resources, and the confidence to keep your garden active and attractive over summer!

Registration is free, but we ask that you register so we can better plan for the event.
